Amur Minerals can invest over $1 billion in Kun-Manie deposit
Amur Minerals Corporation is ready to invest 60 billion rubles (over $1 billion) in the development of the Kun-Manie copper-nickel deposit, the governor of the Amur region Oleg Kozhemyako said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.


Kun-Manie deposit resources account for 67 mln tons of ores with an average grade of 0.59% nickel (366,000 tons) and 0.18% copper (99,000 tons). It is planned that Kun-Manie deposit will be developed by a open pit. Kun-Manie mining and processing plant will produce 350,000 tons of nickel-copper concentrate per year.

«The Ruissa Far East deposits are interesting to many foreign companies and their activity will grow in this region in the future», Leonid Khazanov, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Metal Supply and Sale Magazine, noted.
