New copper ores processing launched in Russia today
Russian Copper Company launched Mikheyevsky ores processing plant (hereinafter - Mikheyevsky GOK) in the Chelyabinsk area of Russia.

The new company will produce and process approximately 18 million tonnes and produce up to 63 thousand tons of copper in concentrate per year.

Later Russian Copper Company plans to launch Tominsky GOH.

After the launch , both companies - and Mikheyevsky Tominsky GOKi - will be integrated into the production chain Russian Copper Company, including a full production cycle - from mining to production , copper cathode and rod . This will enable long-term development program , according to which the company is focused on the significant increase in production capacity up to 350-370 thousand tons of copper cathode equivalent to 2015-2016.

Mikheyevsky deposit porphyry copper - one of the largest copper deposits in Russia. Mikheyevsky GOK - is the biggest project of the construction of copper ores processing plant «from scratch» in the former Soviet Union. The total project budget is over $822 millions.
