Representatives of leading financial institutions met with the management of NLMK Group and Lipetsk production facility to discuss NLMK’s Strategy 2017 execution; current investment projects at the largest steelmaking facility in Russia; and the prospects of further cooperation in pursuit of the Company’s core development goals in the future.
During the visit, the guests became acquainted with the facility. They received a tour of Blast Furnace No.7, the most productive blast furnace in the world, as well as the plant’s cutting-edge rolling operations. The bankers’ tour concluded with a visit to the unique Swan Lake nature reserve located right in the heart of the site. The park, which is home to 51 species of bird, is a testament to the clean environment at Novolipetsk.
Nelli Meshcheryakova, NLMK Head of Corporate Finance, said: During our partners’ visit, we were able to convey to them the unique and impressive scale of the Novolipetsk site; the high level of modernization of the plant’s facilities and operational processes, the responsible approach to environmental matters and commitment to occupational health and safety. Our partners were extremely positive in their assessment of what we have achieved here at Novolipetsk and across NLMK Group; echoing the keen interest that international credit organizations have in the Company, which is a top-class borrower on the international stage.”
