VSW expanded deliveries from Russian suppliers by 40%
In 2015, Vyksa Steel Works (VSW, part of OMK) increased deliveries of materials and parts from Russian suppliers by 40%, or 2 billion rubles.

“The equipment at the factory’s production facilities comes from a hundred foreign manufacturers. Following the rise in foreign currency exchange rates, the factory has turned to partnering with domestic suppliers of similar parts and materials, which were previously imported. For instance, in 2015, the purchase volumes of graphitized electrodes for steel-melting production went up four-fold against 2014 to 350 million rubles. Vyksa Steel Works is willing to increase deliveries from Russian companies as part of an import replacement policy for materials and parts, provided the goods meet the quality requirements and come with delivery guarantees,” said Mikhail Rykov, VSW’s Director for Logistical Support.
