Severstal expend cooperation with United Wagon Company

According to the agreement Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant will receive about 88,000 tons of flat rolled steel until the end of 2015.

Cherepovets Steel Mill, an subsidiary of Severstal, is already providing flat rolled steel to Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant, which is used for the production of body parts of railcars. Also it plans to ship other products of Severstal, including axes blanks and sheets of increased strength sheets.

Severstal sold over 90,000 tons of flat rolled steel to Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant in 2014, which was almost 3 times more than in 2013.

Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant’s capacity is up to 16,000 freight railcars and 30,000 car-sets per year.
