Izhorskiye Zavody produces another hydrocracking reactor for Tuapse refinery

Izhorskiye Zavody, part OMZ Group, successfully complete production of hydrocracking reactor for Tuapse refinery. The reactor weighs more than 600 tons.

It is the second vessel produced under the contract for the supply of equipment for Tuapse refinery, signed in 2010. As part of the contract Izhorskie Zavody produce fore more heavy vessels, including two unique reactors weighing over 1,300 tons. The equipment is designed for deep processing of oil and production of high-quality Euro-5 fuel. Delivery will be performed this year in two stages. The first three reactors will be delivered by water way in August 2012. The second stahe of delivery will be performed in the third quarter.

Production of vessels is performed in accordance with the requirements of ASME Code and Russian regulatory documents for petrochemical production equipment.

Licensor of the project is Chevron Lummus Global (USA) - one of the world's largest energy companies. Development of working and design documentation was carried out by Izhorskiye Zavody.

Tuapse refinery, located in Krasnodar region, enters Russia’s largest oil company Rosneft. Currently, the plant is under fundamental reconstruction,as a result of which the plant's capacity will increase from the current 5 million tons per year to 12 million tons per year, while the depth of processing will exceed 95%.
