The expert council FAS discussed the current situation in metallurgy industry

The meeting of the Advisory Council of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) took place to promote competition in the metallurgy field.

FAS Russia’s discussion of position on trade policy of metallurgical complex, as well as the work status on a Federal Law project “On Amending the Federal Law “On competition protection”” and other legislative acts of the Russian Federation, became a pressing issues of the meeting.

While opening the Expert council, Vice-president of FAS Russia, Andrey Kashevarov, stated that, the issue of forming the trade-marketing policies would become the subject of Expert council of FAS Russia on competition development in the metallurgical industry.

Particularly acute are the following problems: regional discounts, setting different prices for the same product supplied to the Russian and foreign consumers, as well as the size of economic justification of discounts and surcharges.
