Andrey Varichev is appointed General Director of Metalloinvest

Metalloinvest is pleased to announce that Andrey Varichev, First Deputy General Director of Metalloinvest Management Company, is appointed General Director of Metalloinvest Management Company.

Maxim Gubiev stands down from the post of General Director of Metalloinvest Management Company but remains a member of Metalloinvest Management Company Board of Directors.

Born on December 25, 1967 in Orel

In 1991 graduated from Moscow State Aviation Technological University with a degree in aerospace engineering (aircraft engine technology engineer)

From 1991 to 2001 held various top management positions in Russian steel manufacturing companies, including “InterUral” JSC and “Nizhniy Tagil iron and steel works” JSC

In 2001 – 2002 worked as Deputy Director and then - Export Sales Director at “NOSTA-OHMK” LLC (Orsk-Halilovsk iron and steel works)

In 2003 A.Varichev was appointed as First Deputy Sales Director and in 2004 - Deputy Commercial Director of OJSC “Ural Steel”

In April 2005 was appointed as Deputy General Director for Commercial issues at «METALLOINVEST» CJSC

In June 2006 was appointed Commercial Director of Management Company METALLOINVEST

Since February 2008 served as First Deputy General Director of Management Company METALLOINVEST

In February 2009 A.Varichev  was appointed General Director of Management Company METALLOINVEST
