KrAZ to produce large diameter ingots

As of today, the foundry equipment installation is near completion. The complex is to be officially launched into operation once the «hot tests» are successfully completed, with tests being planned for April this year.

KrAZ will produce large diameter ingots that are applied in the automotive and construction industry and as planned, sales will range not only in the Russian market, but also in the European Union market and the United States.

«The new foundry complex will be launched within Rusal's strategy to increase value added products (VAP) output. Once commissioned, the new complex allows for the alloys’ stake increase in our product portfolio, as well as enabling us to increase our customer reach in Russia and abroad,» commented Evgeny Nikitin, Rusal’s Head of Aluminium Division.
