MMK recertified Quality Management System

MMK recertified Quality Management System

Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, JSC successfully completed the recertification audit of quality management system in compliance with international standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/TC 16949:2009, as well as inspectional audit to meet the standard of STO Gazprom 9001:2006.

Within a week the audit committee of international certification team TUV NORD CERT and Paritet, Ltd. held a series of tests on processes designed to manufacture high quality products. The audit covered almost all major subdivisions and services of MMK, JSC. At the final meeting of the audit, chief auditor TUV NORD CERT ISO 9001 and the chief auditor for the STO Gazprom Shapkina Vera said that the commission’s findings, according to which top management of MMK has demonstrated acceptance and compliance on the functioning of the quality management system and continually improve its effectiveness.

At the plant in accordance with the standards planned the implementation of monitoring procedures, measurement and analysis of process performance. Especially highlighted are performance and effectiveness of the quality management systems. According to results of recertification audit for ISO 9001:2008 and inspection audit STO Gazprom the deviations from the requirements of the standards were not identified. Therefore, the committee proposed to the Certification board to issue a certificate of compliance to MMK, JSC for three years and as to the Certification Boad of Gazprom to extend the validity of the certificate until the next audit, which will be held in October 2012.
