Copper semi-products output increased in September

Russian non-ferrous metallurgy has increased copper semi-products output in September, 2010, in comparison with August. For example, copper profiles and rods production has grown by 8.1%, sheets, plates, strip - by 3.2%. But copper foil output has fallen by 12.7%, copper wire - 4.1%.

In comparison with September, 2009 copper profiles and rods production has grown by 4.2%, sheets, plates, strips - by 38.9%, wire - by 39%, foil - in 3.4 times.

«This dynamics reflects changes in Russian industry and in structure of demand for copper products,» Leonid Khazanov, Head of Non-Ferrous Metals Depatrment, Metal Supply and Sale Magazine, explains.
