Norilsk Nickel to hold the Investor Day in London

Today Norilsk Nickel (“MMC Norilsk Nickel” or “the Company”, or “the Group”) will hold the Investor Day in London. In the course of this event top managers of MMC Norilsk Nickel will make presentations for investors and analysts disclosing their vision of the Company’s future prospects and developments in production, sales and financial activities in the period to 2025.

The event will be attended by General Director of MMC Norilsk Nickel Vladimir Strzhalkovsky, First Deputy General Director Oleg Pivovarchuk, Deputy General Director and Head of Sales and Distribution Unit Viktor Sprogis, Deputy General Director and Head of Economy and Finance Unit Dmitry Kostoev, and Advisor to General Director Yuri Filippov.

The Company is supposed to present its outlook for the mineral resource base development, and modernization options for its core mills and smelters for the medium and long run. Participants of the event will be further informed on MMC Norilsk Nickel’s major investment projects and pollution abatement programs, as well as on the corporate plans regarding the existing foreign assets. Financial part of the presentation will include reports on 2009 key financial figures, cost-cutting programs, debt management, and on the corporate policy as regards equity capital markets.

This is the first event of such a format, which is organized for investors and analysts by the new management of MMC Norilsk Nickel in order to demonstrate the Company’s transparency and the management’s interest in the investors’ response.
According to General Director of MMC Norilsk Nickel Vladimir Strzhalkovsky, the top management is ready to discuss openly the Company’s performance and its future development, and to answer any questions. He also noted that the Company is intended to hold such events on a regular basis.
