Zlatoust Metallurgical Works raised output in April

Zlatoust Metallurgical Works produced more than 35.2kt of finished products and melted 20.6kt of steel on open-hearth and electric furnaces in April. Output of marketable products in April increased by 16% as compared to March, while steel output increased by 14%. Demands for stainless steel rolled products, complex alloyed steel products, and final conversion products (steels with special surface treatment) increased considerably.
The works produced the total of around 80kt of steels over the first 4 months of 2010 which is by 75% more compared to corresponding period of 2009 (45.7kt).
The works also produced more than 110kt of marketable products over the first 4 months of 2010 which is 3 times more as compared to January-April 2009 (32.3kt).
