Sibir-Polymetals to Double up Output in 2008
Eleven enterprises of the Altay region have exceeded an annual output of 1 bln rubles. Sibir-Polymetals has become the 11th company on the list.

Since the beginning of 2007 about 250 thou tons of ore have been excavated at Rubtsovsk deposit to be processed into copper, lead and zinc concentrates at Rubtsovsk and Zarechensk Dressing Plants. Taking into account a growing demand for non-ferrous metals in the international market, specialists forecast that this dynamically developing company will double up output and reach its design capacity in 2008.

Since June 2006 a tripartite agreement on social and economic partnership signed by Mr. A. Karlin, Governor of the Region, Mr. A. Kozitsyn, Director General of Urals Mining and Metallurgical Company and Mr. G. Stavsky, Director General of Sibir-Polymetals, JSC has been applied in the region. Sibir-Polymetals is engaged in developments of Rubtsovsk and Zarechensk deposits.

The agreement specifies the role of the company in the social and economic development of the region. Thus in 2007 a number of social establishments at a cost of 30 mln rubles were built Rubtsovsk and Zmeinogorsk as part of the agreement. The company has also taken part in fulfillment of first priority national projects.
